Do you have an Android App?
Not yet. If you’re an Android user who wants to use Mozi, just add your info here and we’ll keep you posted.
Who’s behind Mozi?
We are a small team based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, New York, Medellin, Dublin, Vienna and London. Between us, we’ve got 11 pets, have passports from nine countries, speak eight languages, have five scuba certifications (plus a PADI mermaid certification), two full DJ setups, one world championship and one viral reality TV moment. How do you handle my contacts? Will you ever message people in my phone book?
Your contacts are yours. We don't sell them or share them, and we'll never message anyone on your behalf unless you ask us to (like sending invites to a Moment you've created). You don't need to share your contacts to use Mozi, but it will improve your app experience.

If you do share your iOS contacts, we'll show you people you already know who are on Mozi. We hash (encrypt) them instead of storing actual phone numbers, so both your number and your contacts stay anonymized.

Mozi isn't ad-supported and never will be, which means we have no business reason to do anything with your contact data beyond helping you connect with your people.
Why do you ask for profile details like dietary preferences, birthdays, kid’s names?
At this moment, there are probably people who care about you that can’t remember those important details about you. All profile fields are optional, and if you choose to fill them out, those friends will be grateful. And wouldn’t you be glad to have that info on hand about all the important people in your life too?
How do you plan to monetize?
There will always be a free version of Mozi. And we will not put features that are free today behind a paywall in the future. We plan to be “Freemium” eventually, by introducing new, premium features that are available for a subscription, similar to the business models of other apps we pay for and love, like Spotify, Oura, Insight Timer, Strava and VSCO. While we don’t intend to bring ads into Mozi, we’re open to exploring partnerships with brands that have opportunities for our Mozi members.

Why am I not receiving the verification code?
Some countries use WhatsApp instead of SMS to send your verification code. Make sure you have the app downloaded (you will only need it for this step).

If you're signing up with a French number, we've found that some mobile carriers block verification texts between the hours of 10pm and 8am CET. You'll likely get them delivered in the morning, but they will have expired at that time.
Please try again and let us know if you have any further problems.
